Nutrition

Support your training and health goals with practical nutritional coaching tailored to your lifestyle.

Program description

"Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar. Aim for a calorie intake that supports your training but doesn't lead to an increase in body fat." – CrossFit Journal, 2002

Nutrition is the foundation of everything. CrossFit founder Greg Glassman didn't place it at the base of his fitness pyramid for nothing – what we put into our bodies directly influences our appearance, our well-being, and our performance. Yet, for many athletes, nutrition remains the last piece of the puzzle, rather than the first.

At CrossFit Thalwil, our nutrition program will help you change that. We follow a practical and supportive approach that focuses on building sustainable habits rather than short-term restrictions. Whether you're aiming for more energy, better recovery, fat loss, muscle gain, or simply more confidence in your daily food choices – we offer realistic advice that can be easily integrated into your everyday life.

Good training deserves good nutrition – and with the right support, the two work together to make a real difference in how you look, feel, and perform in and out of the gym.

Energy intake before training

What you eat has a major impact on your performance. Those who eat an unhealthy diet will also perform poorly. But those who eat the right foods at the right time have a significantly better chance of improving their performance level and achieving personal bests. We all know: you won't get far with little fuel in the tank, and you won't get anywhere with an empty tank.

Nutrition after training

Proper nutrition after training is just as important as proper nutrition before. During strenuous training sessions, like the ones we do almost daily, the body's glycogen stores are significantly depleted. Therefore, it's crucial to replenish these stores to recover from these intense sessions and have the necessary energy for the next workout.
